Contains autobiographical writings and diaries of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who lived in East Germany before and during World War II. Also contains transcripts of interviews conducted by Roger P. Minert with these members between approximately 2000 and 2011. All materials written and collected in preparation for the publishing of Minert's books on the subject.

Scope and Contents

Contains Golden Lang's journal entries from World War II, with reports of deaths of his comrades and the sorrows of war. There are also letters to his family at home and photographs of Golden and from the war. Dated approximately 1932 to 1944, when Lang died in an aircraft crash. Most of the content is set in Europe, but there are mentions of his training in California and elsewhere throughout the United States.
